about
We are interested in poems with a keen connection to a sense of place, nature, or otherworldly geographies.
We are inspired by the amazing work being done at Scrawl Place.
Poems whose sense of place resonate with us include: Derek Walcott's The Prodigal, Romeo Oriogun's Late December in Abidjan, J.P. Clark's Ibadan, Hauwa Shaffii Nuhu's and she glides and glides, Nwuguru Chidiebere Sullivan's Polychromatic City, Michael Akuchie's A Perfect Day, and Mary Oliver's Invitation...
We intend to publish TWO AFRICAN POETS monthly, & pay a token of N2,500 (two thousand and five hundred naira) per poem.
